Location. The Hilton Checkers is a European style boutique hotel located in downtown Los Angeles, Calif., in the city's business and financial district. The hotel, whose historic building dates back to the 1920s, stands two blocks from the Staples Center and three blocks from the Mark Taper Auditorium, Walt Disney Concert Hall. Los Angeles Convention Center sits four blocks from this 15 story hotel while Ahmanson Theater is five blocks away.
Hotel Features. California fusion cuisine with distinctive European, American and Asian influences is featured at the hotel's Checkers Restaurant. The new Napa Valley inspired menu offers smoked salmon crepes with dill cr�me fraiche, baby lamb chops with fresh mint sauce and fresh mozzarella and tomato crostinis. Checkers Lounge provides assorted cocktails and appetizers. The Hilton Checkers showcases a spa offering massages, body wraps, facial and treatments. A sauna, spa tub, steam rooms and heated outdoor pool are located on site. The hotel also offers same day laundry and valet service and 24 hour room service. Hotel business amenities include meeting rooms, a business center and wireless Internet access. Transportation to local shopping malls via shuttle is provided by the hotel.
Guestrooms. The hotel's 188 guestrooms promote a soft palette of natural colors and mahogany stained wooden furnishings. Sitting areas include 54 inch marble work desks and leather chairs. Standard amenities include 27 inch flat screen televisions with cable channels, alarm clocks with CD players and high speed Internet access. Marble bathrooms offer terry cloth bathrobes, Neutrogena toiletries and daily fresh flowers.

The Hilton Checkers' downtown Los Angeles location puts guests within blocks of various restaurants, theaters and entertainment venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The concert hall showcases movie premieres, appears in television shows and was even spoofed in a popular animated program.
